I am deeply troubled by recent efforts by the government to crack down on civil society groups and independent media.

The human rights situation in Azerbaijan cannot be overlooked.

We think it would be better for them and everybody if they would be... a little less thin-skinned about criticism.

This is something that requires a great deal of soul-searching as to where to draw the line.
