We know what happens when someone is put into this situation. Ordinary working people, they say, you can defend yourself against these charges. We know what that means. That means that someone's life savings is gone. That means that someone who has been saving up for maybe all their life in order to have a little house at the lake or something or a dream vacation with their wife, that is gone. That is over with. Any of the niceties that they wanted to save up for, gone, because the money that should be going into that which they have worked for and struggled for all their life goes to pay some lawyer to defend themselves from going to jail so that the President of the United States can put a crony in that position.
