I will regret to the day I go to my grave that I voted to give President Bush the authority to go into Iraq. We did not meet our responsibilities. We passed some little resolution, and I voted for it. We trusted the President to not go to war unless it was absolutely necessary, but we went to war. Mr. Speaker, I have signed over 9,400 letters to families. This is my retribution to my God for not doing my job that day when I voted for that resolution.
