These policies have consequences. These words walk into people's lives.

The Trump Administration has taken a hatchet to every part of our healthcare system, undermining the Affordable Care Act, proposing to fundamentally restructure Medicaid and slashing Medicare.

These cuts mean working single mothers in between jobs, families with a family member who suffers from addiction, and grandparents in long-term care facilities will have less access to care.

I hope that we have good bipartisan support on addressing that abuse.

Cutting this coverage is unacceptable, and I will stand up for my constituents and the millions of Americans across the country that rely on these programs.
