Wildfire smoke is a complex mixture of air pollutants, clearly unhealthy to breathe.

We are grateful to the efforts of Senator Padilla and Senator Feinstein to help us attain that goal while righting an historical wrong.

Restoring these unceded lands to the stewardship of the Karuk Tribe is a long overdue moral imperative.

This legislation would transfer administrative jurisdiction of the Katimiin and Ameekyaaraam land... to be held in trust for the benefit of the Karuk Tribe.

It seems that in the last decade the Supreme Court has specifically made it harder for some people to vote and easier for the wealthy to influence elections.

Now, under the DISCLOSE Act, organizations spending more than $10,000 on campaign related activity would be required to disclose any donor who contributed more than $10,000.

Reform is absolutely needed the Supreme Court toss reminder that the Congress needs to do its job, when Supreme Court starts undoing established policy, then we need to act to embed those rights starting with Roe v. Wade, into federal law.

The reason you had these tragedies is because the lawful migration pathways just aren’t there. It’s not working.

I do believe so. And I think they have said as much. You referenced the department`s statement today that they would end the program as soon as legally feasible, which should be much sooner rather than later.

We’ll terminate the program as soon as legally permissible.

We clearly are committed to reducing this time tax that is imposed on citizens, and we should be striving to make it easier for citizens to interact with government, particularly for the most vulnerable.

I want to acknowledge that President Biden's Executive Order from this last spring noted that too often a disaster survivor, a small business owner, a veteran, an immigrant can wait months for the Federal Government to process the benefits…

That is why, among other initiatives, I have pushed for a pilot program to address the documentation barriers facing people.
