You can only spend a dollar once, so you want to make sure it is spent the right way.
That is my main concern, because I think too often we continue to spend money on programs that aren't effective.
It comes down to dollars and cents. You can't wave a magic wand and make this money appear.
If we are not going to have serious entitlement reform, where is it going to come from? It is simple math.
Now, as I read this, it looks like an open-ended discussion, but with no real specifics.
We can talk in flowery terms about what we want, what our hearts are willing to do, but what our wallets can't provide.
The Government works for you. You have to switch that around and understand the revenue comes from hard-working American taxpayers.

The most frequent question that has been asked about the Aaron Alexis incident is how this young man could have received a security clearance in 2008.
I have no idea where this came from. I also wonder how it will impact overtime pay.
Getting Americans working again, or at least restoring the number of hours they used to be able to work, should not be a partisan issue.
This is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue. This is an American worker issue.
I hope today we can move past the denials that this law does not have an effect on jobs.
When Mr. Hoffa jumps on this and says you are destroying the backbone of the American middle class, then there is a concern.
