I think it is a real frustration for us here to be faced with these issues of, well, Mike, this is just way too big to allow it to fail, and, Mike, it is going to take taxpayers' money to unravel the risk that they have gotten themselves into and a lot of money.

You know, you raise a valid point. It occurred to me years and years ago, as I would work with communities across the State as Governor, that resources were always tough to come by.
It is systemic. It is cultural. It is people have just adopted this mode of operation as the way of doing business.
Sometimes the regulatory requirements to build that road or to do whatever are just so incredibly onerous for a small town.
Leadership is not about convenience and being available when it works into someone's schedule.
