I thank my colleagues for laying out what this budget is all about and the problems we are seeing. Senator Isakson has been a leader in trying to reform the budget process. I say to Senator Isakson, I would like you to offer thoughts on what you see in this budget and some ideas on how we can improve this situation we find ourselves in with the President's budget wanting more taxing, more borrowing, more spending.

I think, as you said, the U.S. taxpayers continue to be very much on the hook and at risk as we do nothing to reform our system and maintain the current structure in which we have Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under U.S. Government control.
