Successful implementation is going to require interagency coordination, robust tribal consultation, and intergovernmental collaboration at all levels.

I commend the request, though, for maintaining strong support for state, and tribal grant, and loan programs.

I think that this has been one of those areas where we do have bipartisan support.

A large percentage of these contaminated lands, as you know, have not yet been cleaned up, and the Federal government, for too long, has not shown any real willingness or interest to accept the responsibility that is theirs.

We have an obligation to these Alaska Native Veterans to ensure their allotment applications are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

this is an issue where you have a real genuine, committed effort by those in the community to address a problem.

We need to be working together in that vein.

I firmly believe that we need to have a realistic plan for the future of our energy supply.

I have always prioritized funding for EPA programs that really do focus on getting tangible results in providing cleaner air, cleaner water, and support for our lands across the country.

As one of the negotiators for that Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, I am very proud of what we were able to include with over $60 billion in needed investments to our aging infrastructure through EPA programs.

I strongly support it, but that can occur even as Access Project continues.

So, I mean, this has been the challenge, is the ability to understand and predict what we can anticipate year over year.

Affordability is something that we have to address.

Alaska is willing, and able, and ready to increase our Nation's and our allies energy security.

I think probably the others on the panel would agree that we can't make roads happen, we can't make water infrastructure happen unless we have some sense of the permitting process.

the Roadless Rule exemption finalized in 2020 should stand, but instead, we see an administration that is rolling it back.

I'm concerned about the proposal that we have out there and don't believe that it is fleshed out enough.

the Forest Service is just hell bent on killing what is left of a very small timber industry, starving them of timber supply.

You have record inflation going on, you have proposals that were submitted last summer, and they will be awarded later this summer.

I believe that IHS has been chronically underfunded and we need to make improvements.

I spent a lot of time last year working to advance this to make sure that we were able to get it over the finish line.
