I do not want to abolish the EPA. I simply want the EPA to do its job.

I think one of the things that is important to recognize is that we both share a common interest in ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, that the agencies under our jurisdiction are accountable to the Congress and to the public.

We haven't seen anything new happen, unfortunately, in nuclear, despite the renaissance that Senator Domenici dreamed of.

So do we have an idea--just even in the ballpark--of how much we anticipate the final tally will be when the government finally takes title of the spent fuel?
