The contractual obligation to collect the spent nuclear fuel from the individual nuclear plants started back in 1998. Do we know how much the government has paid out for breaching the contract thus far?

I join with the chairman's comments in my support of you.

If a young person doesn't believe that he or she is going to see the activity within the nuclear industry, that person is going to take his or her energy and talents elsewhere.

Going from 600 employees to 6 employees is not a trend that I want to see.

And I appreciate you looking into that.

I have sent a letter to the Administrator of the TSA asking him for clarification as to what the process will be for those that have had medical procedures.

This subcommittee is going to have to push hard to get this emergency funding in a supplemental and use the base funding of Homeland Security to manage the operations of this important function of Government.

The Coast Guard was committed to a plan to recapitalize the current WHEC fleet with new NSCs.

I am concerned that the decommissioning of these cutters will have significantly negative impacts on the safety and security of the Alaskan commercial fishing industry.

I appreciate you looking into that.

I think we need to remember that we are an Arctic nation.

I think that that makes sense. That is important.

Putting ANWR in permanent wilderness status would put those resources and those reserves offline for all of America.

I'm hopeful that the comments that you've heard from Alaskans on this will be respected.

We feel pretty strongly that when it says no more wilderness, there will be no more wilderness.
