Well, I would certainly hope that we are looking long term to our critical military assets and don't make short-term decisions based on numbers that simply don't hold up.

It does force us to deal with a $16.4 trillion debt.

If we are not working every day as lawmakers... then we are not doing right by our constituents.

We want to be careful. We don't want to run out and do something precipitice that we might regret in terms of policy later.

I have suggested, too, that we need to be very thorough in the review.

I'm just going to continue on the discussion of exports.

Natural gas is now an abundant, affordable, clean source of energy, providing great opportunities for economic growth, and an energy security.

We have now moved from a discussion about scarcity to one of abundance.

What Senator Manchin has been talking about regarding the opportunities in his part of the country...

We need to make sure that these efforts are reasonable, based on sound science and they don't result in unnecessary and overly burdensome regulatory requirements.

So then, in addition to what you already have within your State, you think that additional Federal regulation on top of that is a wise thing?

You're still alive to tell the story.

I think we need to take a very close look, a critical look, at existing State regulations before we move to impose blanket Federal rules that perhaps might cause more problems than they solve.

I believe, however, that there is enough domestic production, and the capacity for enough production increase to support our vital manufacturing industry and allow for responsible levels of export.

I think, you know, a real understanding of how to carry what we've learned in this country, being such a large oil and gas producer for so many years abroad we really will sort of help to allow the development in a responsible way of those…

I have been focused on the issue of suicide for years now and, particularly, youth suicide in this country.

I think we recognize that we can have great curriculum, we can have great technology, but, ultimately, it comes down to great teachers.

But how quick did it take us to get to the iPhone 5? I don't have one. But just think about how the generations move so quickly, but it all takes money, just about money.

The broadband and latency are still crippling and become more so the more robust the technology becomes.

And we want to do exactly that with you, and I think we all recognize that we're dealing with tough budgets.

Let's not be limited by the problems that we had yesterday or last year. Let's figure out how we advance and move forward.

We clearly need more of it. We need it at different levels. We need it in different areas.

I think Rosita said the essence of being Native is not being taught in the schools, and that's critical.
