It would be wrong of me to leap to one side given the experience that I'd had before becoming prime minister.

Well, I would be really concerned to lose them. They've been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester. Obviously, the building of Manchester City into the global force that it is.
But what I’m saying about the triple lock enables a better support, better care for people in their homes. No care charges.
There are pensioners out there who watch your programme who are paying for care costs from their basic state pension. Now, is that right or fair? We have to fix this system.
I think you’ve got it completely wrong, really, if you don’t mind me saying, to put it like that, because I have put out today a vision for a national care service.
There’s a lot at stake. Let’s be honest about that, for the football club, for city supporters, for the city of Manchester.
I have to keep my distance from it. It would be wrong for me to do anything else.
But I think it’s only fair from my own experience fighting for my club that I take that position at this stage.
I think it’s only right that Manchester City and Manchester City supporters have that opportunity to continue to contest the situation if they don’t think it’s fair.
I said in my lifetime and I’ve said that I’m not going to pull back from that.
This is the settlement I am offering to pensioners: a state pension that rises every year, no care charges and a high-quality National Care Service to give peace of mind in later life.
However, the adjustment will enable us to fix social care for everyone by building a National Care Service that provides older people with free personal care at the point of need.
I want to be upfront about what I am proposing because this adjustment will bring change.
I don’t accept that it has to be this way, and I am determined to bring down costs for good.
I do actually thank the City Football Group and the wider ownership for the money that they didn't just put into the Etihad [Stadium] and the campus around it but also into the city.
Of course it remains an ongoing, complex and serious police investigation, and of course we are working closely with our colleagues in the United States of America.
