Please establish a national brain cancer lead and give us a chance to fight for our lives because the things that patients are going through out there are unbelievable and so unjust.
Andy Burnham
The Public Record
Andy Burnham, if you believe and want to make a change and a difference to the future of our country and our young population, please listen to us.
I will be looking at measures to ban trade in goods with illegal settlements.
Unfortunately, the demands of being Prime Minister mean he is no longer able to attend.
For too long, the problems facing our prison system have been ignored – and it’s the victims who have been paying the price. That is not good enough. My government will deliver the fastest prison building programme since the Victorian era…
As a country, we haven’t invested in the prison estate when we should have, going back over a decade. This has created an unacceptable situation, with our adult male prisons now at 98 per cent capacity.
I fully understand the anger, anxiety and distress that’s been caused. I’ve heard that loud and clear. That’s why we’re making significant changes: offenders who have been sentenced for rape, serious child sex offences and other grooming…

We have to deal with the issue rather than play politics with the issue. Just deal with it head on, grip it, and then make the changes that will bring that reassurance to the public.
Clearly, progress is being made, but we’re not complacent. We’re just going to be relentless.
The public don’t like the idea that the border looks like it’s not controlled.
The removals are up too though, and this is another part of the story that people need to understand.
There is significant progress in terms of reducing the number of crossings, the number of people coming over.
When people are struggling, we can’t ignore that. Hence, me indicating that to the president.
The question isn’t whether Britain will be using oil and gas, the question is where does it come from.
I’ve indicated that I’ll be pragmatic about the North Sea. When people are struggling and when we need to help people you can’t ignore the resources that you’ve got, but we’ll make further decisions in due course.
