I am doing a little tally of agencies that are following the law and breaking the law.

cutting agency funding, as proposed in their appropriation legislation, won't help.

I think it is very important that the committee understand how these resources are prioritized.

Something, Mr. Chair, has to be done.

My bill seeks to increase transparency and centralize this useful information for veterans.

I look forward to working with you and the VA and my colleagues here today on this important legislation, to ensure that we are addressing the unique needs of each and every veteran.

I personally have been working with the DOL VETs office for 15 years, and during that time, I have consistently been impressed by the workforce development experts that are working there.

I actually have a lot of concerns about government bureaucracy.

I believe that changing the structure of the DOL VETs office in the manner proposed could result in much more harm than good.

In some categories, there are entire departments, like the nutrition department at the FDA that are – that have to go, that are not doing their job, they're not protecting our kids.

I do not see that in the official policy of the United States so I'm not sure what to believe about the Administration's policy.

Make no mistake, our country is facing a foster care crisis.

I hope we can work together to persuade your colleagues to prevent a shutdown and continue the foster care-related programs under Title IV-B.
