I’m sure the First Minister won’t mind me saying this but the best ambassadors Scotland have had in the US are the Tartan Army. What a fantastic advertisement for the country and the kind of country we are and how we see ourselves.
There’s also a responsibility on the social media companies to take this seriously and treat it seriously, but we also need to reflect on how we share information as well as users of social media channels.
I think there’s a responsibility on the security agencies to look at this and that’s why I’ve written to the minister.
