I’m grateful for the Senators and Representatives who have signed this brief in support of Louisiana’s right to protect unborn children and their mothers.

I’m praying for President Trump.

Freedom of worship is a truncated view of the freedom of religion.

It shall be the policy of the United States . . . [t]o condemn violations of religious freedom, and to promote, and to assist other governments in the promotion of, the fundamental right to freedom of religion.

The United States is obligated under international law to uphold, support, and promote religious freedom.

America has both a legal and moral obligation to speak and act on behalf of religious freedom.

Defending those whose right to practice their faith is penalized or jeopardized wins our country friends among people throughout the developing world.

Now, it is our turn to act with courage to bring Meriam and her family to America.

We must--in this particular case, the administration should specifically work to ensure Meriam's children are immediately granted U.S. citizenship...

I think people recognize that there is a correlation between religious persecution abroad and the growing religious intolerance here at home.

We must advocate for individuals like Meriam.
