Tony Perkins: “Freedom of worship is a truncated view of the freedom of religion.”

Yesterday, in his speech, before the Notre Dame student body, the graduating class, he admitted that there -- there may not be common ground, there may not be a resolution, that we may have to agree to disagree.

I think people recognize that there is a correlation between religious persecution abroad and the growing religious intolerance here at home.

I thought he made a great speech yesterday, but he's going to have to at some point in time come down off his rhetorical mountain into the valley of decision where public policy is made.

This is going to have ramifications on other state legislators, I think, even as close as New York and New Jersey, where legislators are going to think twice before they pick up this special interest agenda.
