I thank my colleague for yielding. Honorable Speaker, I am pleased to join with my colleagues asking unanimous consent that this body in which we serve, the House of Representatives, bring up the Senate amendment to House Joint Resolution 59, to open the government and go to conference on a budget so that we may end this Republican government shutdown. The SPEAKER pro tempore. As the Chair has previously advised, that request cannot be entertained absent appropriate clearance.
