I thank my colleague for yielding. Mr. Speaker, I respectfully ask unanimous consent to bring up H.R. 1217. It is a bipartisan piece of legislation called the expanded background checks bill, and I do so today in honor of a particular person who was a victim in the Orlando massacre. Her name is Mercedez Marisol Flores, a young woman who has never received her own moment of silence on this House floor. The SPEAKER pro tempore. As previously announced, the unanimous consent request cannot be entertained. The time of the gentlewoman from California will be deducted from the gentleman from Colorado's time.
