The United States remains open and willing to engage in positive negotiations and talks so long as the commitments that are made are kept.

If that is threatened, then I think the global economy is threatened, and the rules which have underpinned 150 years of international trade and commerce are also threatened, and that cannot be allowed to happen.

If we create a precedent in the Middle East where a nation-state can decide that they are going to control an international waterway and, if you don't pay them, blow up your ships, we have created a very dangerous precedent.

The problem we're having right now is they're not serious about talks. If they're serious, we're serious.

The amount of neglect, the amount of stale thinking and bureaucracy; it was staggering when we took over.

I mean the Biden administration ignored hypersonics. They just decided to pretend like that technology didn’t exist and we shouldn’t invest in it.

You won’t show any political courage to actually fund our department because you have Trump derangement syndrome and you won’t commit to anything meaningful. So, I put this on you, senator.

When will you show leadership and stand up to your fellow Democrats who won’t fund the troop, who play partisan politics while you don’t give us the money? You want to stand up here and talk about the troops?

You — you don’t have a strategy, you don’t have a long-term plan to actually win this war. Win the war! The men and women are going to be able to do it, but they need leadership. When will you show leadership?

Every dollar appropriated will be used to build the lethality of US military forces and reinforce peace through strength.

Without these funds, we face critical shortfalls that threaten our ability to also simply pay our service members, rapidly replenish equipment and munitions, and sustain vital operations without disruption.

There’s a Hezbollah problem.

It’s been a very badly treated place and country and we’re going to have it properly treated and treated with the respect it deserves.
