Many of the proposals that address the threat of invasive species suggest that, aside from those few species that are exempted like pets and farm animals, there are thousands of perfectly safe non-native species and they are going to be blacklisted until a thorough scientific assessment can prove that they have no impact on the ecology of the United States.
