Mr. Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 79, after line 23, insert the following: SEC. 241. READINESS OF INTERCONTINENTAL BALLISTIC MISSILE FORCE. The Secretary of Defense shall preserve each intercontinental ballistic missile silo that contains a deployed missile as of the date of the enactment of this Act in, at minimum, a warm status that enables such silo to-- (1) remain a fully functioning element of the interconnected and redundant command and control system of the missile field; and (2) be made fully operational with a deployed missile. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 260, the gentlewoman from Wyoming (Mrs. Lummis) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentlewoman from Wyoming.
