I hope every one of our colleagues have heard the remarks of the senior Senator from New Mexico. They were powerful, startling, and here is the man whom we entrust with handling our budget activities. And who does it with greater skill and dogged determination than this man? He is citing what has happened to the things that we believe in and that we try to support. I know they have been so seriously disrupted and distorted. They could not have been made more clear. I thank the Senator. With a few words, and with a graph or two, he placed it in better perspective than I possibly could. The present situation is simply unsustainable, and it is going to become ever more so.
