While I oppose the amendment, I understand my colleague wants to see increased funding for the conventional hydropower within EERE. I understand that. I am a big fan of hydropower in the Pacific Northwest. One of the reasons we have some of the cheapest electricity in the country is because of the great use of hydropower in the Pacific Northwest. The bill before us actually increases conventional hydropower by $1.7 million above last year. I look forward to working with the gentleman on this important program as we move forward through this process, but I do oppose this amendment.
