While I support the conference agreement on the National Defense Authorization Act, I am extremely disappointed that it does not include language from previous years to prevent the Administration from moving forward with increases in TRICARE pharmacy copayments and enrollment fees. As a cosponsor of the Military Retirees Health Care Protection Act, which would prohibit increases in TRICARE costs for servicemembers, I do not believe our brave soldiers and their families should have to bear the burden of closing our Nation's deficits. For thirty-five years, I have fought to expand and protect affordable, quality health care for our servicemembers, and I will continue to do so.
