So our manufacturing base, in fact, a good friend, Senator Peters, newly elected from Michigan, explained the importance of low cost electricity to keep our manufacturing base of automobile industry there in Michigan.

Basically you want fossil or you expect fossil to give you five times more the energy to make the system run in America.

I need to remind, I think, all of us that coal remains the single largest source of electricity supply in America.

They are not cost effective, not cost efficient.

There is not another coal-fired plant being built or even in the planning stage of being built in America that I know of.

$120 million of tax revenues come from our coal industry in Montana that fund our teachers and our infrastructure.

Why not be the leader in technology since the rest of the world is using it?

We should be the leader in technology.

I am asking for a level playing field.

I just think that it is unbalanced the way our Administration and country is approaching an inevitable.

I have always said we are all entitled to our opinion, just not our own facts.

When you warned, on February 12 of last year, that our military is on a path where the force may become, 'so degraded and so unready that it would be immoral to use force.'

Where does this $600 billion of the economy come from? Where does it go?

I have a hard time believing that you are concerned that if we do a privacy bill, that you might not have access for the latest, greatest innovation in technology.

How much money do companies make off the sharing of information right now? You all have seen it. Now come on. It is over $600 billion.

So for those of us who want a little bit of privacy, we think you are doing pretty darned good.

I do not think there is anybody who wants to stymie innovation and entrepreneurship.

I think that data privacy is important, but it is truly dependent on what data you are looking at.

It would be hard to explain. Basically that would be the same glide path we had if not maybe a little difference than Iraq, and we saw the results of Iraq.

Do they have any economy at all? Other than the war effort, is their economy sucking off the U.S. taxpayers?

This President needs to understand he needs to be decisive and take different action or he is putting American interests at risk.

If I could just give his family some relief and some closure.

The bottom line is, do you think that Afghanistan is more stable and better prepared to take care of itself with our help or without our help?

We hear an awful lot about what's going on, what caused--in Iraq, we fell backwards.

Can we prevent that in Afghanistan?
