It is important that Congress and the American people have confidence in the Department of Justice.

The amount of heroin and Fentanyl that was taken in that raid was enough to kill every man, woman, and child five times over in my hometown of 50,000 people.

What a difference, candidly, an election makes, the fact that one candidate called the people of West Virginia deplorable.

And this administration, in your work, in your Agency, is restoring hope to the people of West Virginia.

We are going to cut through red tape, we are going to cut down burdensome regulations.

It is not your job to be creative, to advance an agenda. I think it is your job to respect the rule of law.

As go the roads, so go the jobs.

We cannot allow local governments to try to drive an ideological agenda.

I am a staunch defender and supporter of the EDA, and will fight tooth and nail to make sure that that program gets funded.

We have got a lot of hardworking coalminers put out of work.

I don't want Oregon's hand-me-downs.

Our goal is clear: We want the very best care possible for our veterans.

I believe it is absolutely essential that, again, we have a very robust fuel diversity in how we generate electricity in this country.

I think it was the right decision, and I thank you and the Administration for that.

Your predecessor... did everything it could to put West Virginia out of business and put West Virginians out of work.

I want to thank you, like so many around this table, for the clear articulation of why the Paris Accord was such a bad deal.

We need to put resources where the problem is and that is in my district in West Virginia.

We are amidst, nationally and certainly at ground zero, an opioid crisis.

It appears that the social cost of carbon is nothing but a political tool lacking scientific integrity and transparency conceived and utilized by an Administration pushing a green agenda to the detriment of the American taxpayers.

If signed into law, the DOE and the EPA would no longer rely on manipulated and fabricated economic benefits to justify or support new job-killing environmental regulations.

Coal jobs have plunged more than 50 percent in just the last 5 years.

What this administration and the EPA do not understand is what their actions have done to the people of West Virginia.

Today, we have before us the President's request to fund what I see as the final chapter in this administration's war on coal.

Our business has dropped majorly, and I am struggling day to day just to try to decide to pay the bills or to restock.
