I mean we have a right to know not only as a Congress but as the American people why this savings and loan was kept open for 3 years after everyone knew that it was totally insolvent. I proceeded to ask him about the December letter that the minority members--your friends-- wrote, and asked, requesting copies of dozens of documents relating to the failed Madison Guaranty Savings & Loan. You know what he said? This is going to surprise you. He is not going to give those documents to the minority committee.
