We urge Congress and the Administration to carefully monitor WIC participation and food cost inflation.

I've been a strong supporter of the generic drug program for many years now.

We have provided FDA with very large funding increases over the past several years.

We need to ensure that programs vital to people's health, safety, and livelihoods are adequately funded.

Last year we provided funding for Hunger-Free Community grants, as authorized in the farm bill.

It is incumbent upon this subcommittee to review all these proposals with three priorities in mind.
