I struggled to understand how this debate had become so dispatched from the reality of how the Bank operates.
The Bank is a U.S. job creation engine, reauthorization in the past has been bipartisan.
I feel really compelled to address some of the mischaracterizations of the Bank.

I still don't like putting 'Dodd' on there, mainly because all of the headaches or an awful lot of the headaches that we have have come about because of the 'Dodd' part of it.
Someone has to start taking responsibility for that, because here we are, and things are coming back, but it took a long time, and a lot of people did lose their homes.
