I think these are big tasks and I think we should, Madam Chair, continue to pay a lot of attention to this because I think, as we were talking earlier, these are big opportunities.

Aviation manufacturing is important to my state, but it's also vitally important to our Nation's economy.

Our nation's economy depends on civil aviation, which connects businesses and consumers around the globe.

The state of Washington is very excited about telemedicine and I would just say health care innovation overall.

I think it is important that the U.S. is likely to become less reliant on imported energy but will still remain a net oil importer for the entire forecast period.

I would just say no one is proposing these East/West pipelines.

I definitely am a big supporter of TAA and do not think that we should be doing TPA or TPP without it.

I think that I would put up our manufacturing skills against anybody in the world.

I come from a big manufacturing State, and it has a lot of labor members in it, and it has a lot of people who support trade.

I am always struck, when you two gentlemen are before the committee, that there are many things that you actually agree on.

I also do not apologize for our country being a leader in aerospace manufacturing and making a great product that is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

I would encourage you to continue to have that level of vigilance. I think that is what the American public wants.

I just can't emphasize enough how important this is.

I would like to start by offering my condolences to the loved ones of passengers and crew from Germanwings Flight 9525.

In recent years I have seen a lot of attempts in various piecemeal fashions and what is really needed, I think, is an overall 21st Century Management Plan.

I think, Mr. Chairman, I am glad you are having this hearing and certainly support efforts to make sure that small businesses and their innovations are protected.

I think we do need to take inventory of where we are and what it has done to impact small inventors.

The resource extraction from our federal lands is not paying their fair share to the American taxpayer, and you will hear more from us on that in the future.
