Prevention is medicine.

Certainly the State of Washington, having implemented a policy, we have been very interested in this.

We want those who are seeking asylum not to end up in a detention center.

People seeking asylum should not be treated the same way as some criminal.

This administration is turning her into a threat. We want due process.

I want to ensure that she knows where her child is.

I want to know... what else needs to happen for her to be processed?

I am looking for market power for individuals who are not finding it in other ways.

One of the best negotiating tools I think that is out there is the provision of the basic health plan or essential plan that is now operating in a few States.

I also disagree with Secretary Perry's proposal to subsidize high-cost coal to compete with natural gas and renewables in the market.

I also intend to continue to pursue making sure all our colleagues at DOE understand the very terrible idea that the Administration is putting forward in trying to sell off assets from the Bonneville Power Administration and TVA.

I am concerned, however, about the nominee to run the Office of Energy Efficiency and I know that I will have questions about the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Portfolio that you will be in charge of.

Somebody pays the price. And in this case, we are very, very concerned about agriculture.

When we have trade wars, it impacts the Washington economy in a major way.

We kind of look at trade wars as very 1980s retro policy, because one in four jobs is related to trade.

I like to say at home, our home, that we get around the table and agree to a lot because of science.

I think that just comes as a very day-to-day experience for all of us in the Northwest.

Is the Administration for reregulating electricity? Is that what that position is? Because I don't get it.

I mean the notion that someone would supplant the market of delivering affordable electricity with the most available unit of cost-effective energy and supplant it with an order that would say, 'buy something more expensive,' is disrupting…

I hope my colleagues stand prepared to join in protecting consumers against this alarming plan, just as we did on the previous one.

They want us to be giving them every tool possible to fight this fire season.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the issue of sexual harassment and what the agency needs to do to better manage and train and skill people in response to these issues.
