We seem to have forgotten the word in the process--it is compromise.

So, what have we produced? As I hear in some quarters, we now have a dysfunctional government, where there is absolute partisanship so much that I believe, Mr. Chairman, our people, the American people, are tired of this.

We are not going to have any more kings or emperors and all this sort, so that the legislature and the Executive Branch puts a check on each other.
