Derek Kilmer is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Washington's 6th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he has focused on issues such as economic development, education, and environmental protection during his time in office. As a first step the Select Committee recommended requiring an annual fiscal State of the Nation.
A strong bipartisan process can generate Member buy-in, and that is enormously important when it comes to reaching a deal.
