We’re in for the long haul on this as a state.

Unfortunately, potentially be our most disastrous fire season of all.

Today signifies a critical step in rebuilding our fleet with modern vessels that will allow us to provide more dependable service.

This is likely the worst natural disaster in Spokane history.

It's a nightmare situation.

I spoke to the president about what’s going on, and spoke in pretty clear fashion about how dire the situation is.

He expressed his support for what the people are going through out here, and I deeply appreciate him taking time.

I have requested federal assistance after speaking to US President Donald Trump.

I deeply appreciate the President taking time to have this conversation, and I am optimistic we will receive a quick approval for our request for a federal emergency declaration.

Things are extremely dynamic, especially in Spokane.

We're here for the long haul.

Just in a matter of hours, their lives changed in deeply dramatic and fundamental ways. And so it's difficult to find words when folks have experienced a loss like that.

I spoke in pretty clear fashion about how dire the situation is.

From Yakima to Enumclaw, state employees and our partners worked under challenging conditions and cleared 97 roads in just four weeks.

Our Washington State Department of Transportation crews answered the call.

This is a decision between upholding the tax and moving our state forward by making life more affordable for Washingtonians, or rejecting it and going backwards.

Let’s be honest: 40th is not gonna get the job done,

Washington state is literally the most generous state in the entire country for providing financial assistance,

If you’re a business owner, you’ll benefit from this. If you’re one of those 500,000 families, you will benefit from this. If you have a kid who’s in our education system, you will benefit from this in so many ways.

With Initiative 645, voters will have a decision between upholding the tax and “moving our state forward by making life more affordable for Washingtonians,” or rejecting it and “going backwards.”

The GEO Group is not above the law.

I’d be surprised if we get a few years down the road, and other states aren’t starting to follow this model.

We need to make sure we’re addressing our long-term budget situation in a sustainable way.
