Goldman Sachs, perhaps the largest speculator on Wall Street, came out with a report earlier this year indicating that excessive oil speculation is costing Americans about 56 cents a gallon at the oil pump.

In my view, however, especially in these difficult economic times when workers and families are struggling to keep their heads above water, they should not be ripping off people.

A study done by McKinsey Consultants which says U.S. can meet entire 2020 emissions target with efficiency in cogeneration while lowering the nation's energy bill $700 billion.

The Federal Government is going to have to take the lead to help States ensure that all low-income children have access to quality early childhood education programs and services.

Making it a requirement is an excellent way to gain access to the health care many children so desperately need.

Current law provides for the possibility of automatically enrolling children in public health care (SCHIP or Medicaid) when they are found eligible for a childcare subsidy, but no States have adopted this option.

To the best of my knowledge, in terms of the production of new electricity, nuclear power is the most expensive form of new generation.

I think it is time to move. And in fact, if I do not see changes at the NRC in terms of the voting process, I am going to offer legislation to mandate that that happen.
