I thank Mr. Veasey. Mr. Speaker, I yield to the distinguished gentlewoman from Michigan (Mrs. Lawrence), who is my classmate and one of my very good dear friends.
I thank Congressman Marc Veasey for assisting me and for being a leader in this Special Order hour for the Congressional Black Caucus. Of course, I thank the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, our friend and colleague, the Honorable…
I thank Mrs. Lawrence so much for that discussion and inspiration she has given us. We are not going to go back. We have heard from so many of our colleagues about the achievements of African Americans. But not just the achievements--the…
According to multiple reports, several members of the Trump campaign and incoming Trump administration may currently be under FBI investigation for their connections with the Russians.
Because is it possible for the ultimate decisionmaker to make a decision to grant an individual a national security clearance if the person is under an FBI investigation?
It would be great to know in that process, one, who the decisionmaker is, and is there a list of individuals who are under FBI investigation.
I thank Mr. Veasey. Mr. Speaker, I thank the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, my friend and colleague, the Honorable Cedric Richmond, for his continued leadership of this caucus and of his leadership on the issues impacting Black…
I thank the gentlewoman. Mr. Speaker, I yield to the gentlewoman from Texas (Ms. Jackson Lee).

I yield myself such time as I may consume. Mr. Speaker, I rise today in strong support of H.R. 6138, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 560 East Pleasant Valley Road, Port Hueneme, California…
I respectfully submit that this amendment is simple, but it is simply another excuse for Members on the other side to talk about emails. I believe that the issue that my colleague is attempting to address has already been addressed when…
I claim the time in opposition to the amendment. The Acting CHAIR. The gentlewoman from the Virgin Islands is recognized for 5 minutes.
I thank my colleague from Missouri. Mr. Chairman, H.R. 5226, the Regulatory Integrity Act of 2016, would, we believe, impose duplicative and unnecessary procedural requirements on agencies that would prevent them from efficiently…
the disparity and the bias in this own committee in how it treats different Secretaries of State.
I would like to, at this time, extend happy birthday wishes to Gloria Joseph, a community organizer, public servant, matriarch, and Ph.D of haute cuisine. I wish her happy birthday. Both of these women are ultimate public servants, true…
I would rather be here talking with you about the FBI's investigations and their resources to those individuals who are acting under color of law who have apparently committed egregious violations in the killings that we've seen in the…
