I think the commissioner put it in because it is a sincerely and deeply held assessment and a troubling one of the agency.

I want an aspirational leader that I could say to my son and grandson, grow up to be like him or her. And he fails that test miserably.

But this is clearly the most egregious example of basically a quid pro quo and the negative that is if you do something, I'll take something away.

As a fiscal conservative and as a Republican, I believe that we fought for this a lot harder, though, and I want to walk through that just a little bit.
