I generally do not support vouchers. I am a strong supporter of the public schools, where I have three kids. But the city's public schools today, as the gentleman knows, are in a state of disarray. There is a dropout rate of about 40 percent. The most difficult thing is we cannot even certify to some of the parents that the schools are safe.
