I think the Resolution 445 condemning the violence and human rights abuses in Ethiopia, Eritrea, and the combatants and the conflicts in Northern Ethiopia, it is a tragedy what has taken place there.

If we're going to do that, we're going to have a resolution that looks at the catastrophic decisions made by the Trump Administration in Doha, Qatar.

We need to support the Burmese people in their struggle for human rights and a path toward democracy.

Democracy is under threat around the world, and Congress cannot, and must not, stand idly by when a thuggish military blatantly disregards the will of citizens, as happened in Burma in February.

I contend, based on this testimony, that the ERA is now an amendment to the Constitution, duly ratified by the 38th state, the Commonwealth of Virginia.

It should. You know, it took 203 years to get the congressional pay amendment, so I think the only argument here is about delay.

When you shut down 30 percent of sorting machines in one state, it really affects all of our workers.

Let's be clear: This issue comes from the top down at the United States Postal Service.

When the mail doesn't arrive on time, it may well mean the difference between an open or shuttered business.

When mail doesn't arrive on time, it may very well stand in the way of my constituents having food to eat.

DeJoy's actions have, I think, contributed significantly to the ability of Chicago--in deteriorating Chicago's post offices and mail deliveries in order to meet customers' needs.

Simply put, missing service standards hurts those who rely on the Postal Service and is ultimately a death sentence for the struggling agency.
