I'm ready to take a vote now.

Now, it's true that the government is not now using expedited removal to deport these children without an immigration hearing. Why is that? Because the law prohibits it.

Put aside the fact that the Obama administration has set records in terms of deportations, I think we need to know that nothing has changed in terms of the law.

We need to fix our broken immigration system.

I fully support the President doing what he can under current law to improve our broken system.

You know, the regional humanitarian crisis requires a regional solution.

Get out of that old thinking. We are all talking about mobility and access.

Let us make it be a smart dollar, and so that means that everything we can do in terms of technology we need to be looking at.

I absolutely believe that our public would. I think that there are two pieces to that, however.

Maybe if you could do it for the record, if you could comment on how we can improve the process of injunction so that localities do not have to suffer irreparable harm.

Could we have someone be required to have a process pre-cleared if it is a suspect change if there is no prior finding of discrimination?

We are all disappointed by the Shelby decision, and we are trying to fix it.

Through all of these hearings, there has been no dispute that the problem exists and that something has to be done to address and resolve this situation.
