I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of subtitle E of title X, insert the following: SEC.__. LIMITATION ON USE OF FUNDS RELATED TO OPERATIONS OF COMMISSION ON THE NAMING OF ITEMS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE. None of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2024 may be used to operate the commission on the naming of items of the Department of Defense that commemorate the Confederate States of America or any other person who served voluntarily with the Confederate States of America established pursuant to section 370 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (10 U.S.C. 113 note). The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 583, the gentleman from Virginia (Mr. Good) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Virginia.
