FDA administrators who originally approved mifepristone knew it had risks attached to it. In the following years, those risks have been confirmed and proven time and again to the mother and, obviously, ultimately to the child. Between 2002 and 2015, the rate of chemical abortion-related emergency room visits increased by more than 500 percent. Mr. Chair, I reserve the balance of my time.
