The fundamental question is, should Americans continue to subsidize the risk that is incurred by this Bank? It has failed consistently to meet its congressionally-imposed mandates.

Jason Chaffetz is a former Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Utah's 3rd congressional district from 2009 to 2017. During his tenure, he served as the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he was known for his focus on government accountability and transparency. Chaffetz was a vocal critic of the Obama administration and played a significant role in various investigations, including those related to the Benghazi attack and the Clinton email controversy.
To suggest that these people couldn't be fired or do something more severe is simply unacceptable.
This administration, this DEA Administrator, has got to hold those people accountable and get them out of there.
The act is clear, the inspector general is to have unfettered access to all records, not just the ones you want to choose from.
Allowing sexual harassment or misconduct to get a little slap on the wrist with 2 to 14 days paid leave is not acceptable.
I can promise you we will continue to yank you up here as long as this continues to be a problem.
I believe that this bill is a states' rights issue, that the State of Utah does not want gambling within its borders.
I wish, you know, at a minimum that these witnesses would have been provided, at least behind the scenes so that we could have received some answers.
The threat is real, but I don't feel it, I don't see it, and it is unacceptable.
