I think they are overstating the security situation in Benghazi and Libya.

I see no urgency to try to get this through, particularly as it relates to the nuclear sciences.

This place is falling apart, and we are over here trying to figure out how to get more Libyans into the United States to be trained on nuclear sciences.

Like who actually wakes up in this country and says, this will be in the best interest of the United States of America; let's teach the Libyan nationals about nuclear sciences? That makes no sense to me. None.

How is this relationship normalized when our Ambassador was murdered in Benghazi 18 months ago and not one single solitary person has been arrested, prosecuted or brought to justice?

But the concern is, when we are $102 billion into it, and most of that is DOD, it is not USAID, we continue to pour money into this thing and we haven't tackled the most basic problem which I think is corruption.

But you go back and assess them, right?

I do think it is important for Congress to understand and look back on what has worked well and what hasn't worked well.

But when you have 333 different recommendations and you only insist that they implement 24, I have a problem with that.

Oh, it is more like the Stone Age. Fred Flintstone is more progressive than a lot of places in Afghanistan.

I don't want to get caught up on semantics, but I am just telling you, you have an incentive fund, it sounds like a bonus, it sounds like a slush fund, it sounds like a lot of very negative things.

One of the key concerns, one of my biggest concerns is that we have U.S. money flowing to the very terrorists that wish to do us harm.

We need to continue to do that and hold people accountable to go after the waste, fraud and abuse in this important area.

This is one of the most important responsibilities of Congress, is, in fact, going after waste, fraud and abuse.

I want you to find the list, get us that information.

As a Member of Congress I have been there twice.

When you have a duly issued subpoena, you comply with it. It is not optional.

First of all, I can tell you that having reviewed the records, the pilots that were operating this aircraft are of exceptional quality, skill and high rating, but there were some questions about why was there no pre-assault fire laid down…

We cannot thank the men and women enough who serve this Nation and those that have given their lives for this Nation.

I commend all of you also for diligently going about your investigations and your review in the same manner.

Honoring those Americans is our number one priority.

I don't want some Afghan saying something about my son. I don't want that.

I want to assure the families that this committee has questioned the Department of Defense officials on the full spectrum of the mission.

Those Americans who do that are my heroes.

I think you properly pointed out in your testimony that people are your greatest asset.
