You know, until a right is taken away, and let's face it, it's the first time in our country's history that something like this has happened, that a constitutional protection was stripped away.

I believe in the idea that we do have inalienable rights, God-given rights, and that we agree to give some of those up, in order to be a functioning part of society.

And it's certainly the case that if you extend the reasoning, of this particular opinion, if it becomes the reality that we live with, at the end of June or early July, then we certainly are at risk of losing those rights.

I absolutely do. And I agree 100 percent, with what Mr. Obergefell said. These rights absolutely are under threat.

the focus needs to be on 49 years of legislative jurisprudence that has allowed women the rights to control our futures, our destinies, our own bodies by doing that.

I'm much more concerned that Roe is actually going to be completely gutted with a return to state law, directing what will happen for women's reproductive freedom going forward.

I think we are going to see an absolute overturning of Roe v. Wade.

We can't allow the constitution to be that fragile, and we cannot allow laws that are going to usurp essentially, the courts authority.

And the fact that Governor Abbott and others who passed this horrid law, into effect, claim to be pro life to reiterate the point that the Congresswoman made knowing and not caring that people are going to be traumatized in this way.

Every day, we can keep it from being effective here. While we wait for that to happen as an important and positive and powerful day for Texas women.

I would not be at all surprised to see other abortion providers in Texas pursue a similar strategy, even prior to the outcome in two weeks, which will decide this on a more permanent basis.

And in fact, the plaintiff doesn't even have to live in the state of Texas. So they're going to forum shop, they're going to look for the friendliest courts that they can find.

But in no way shape, or form are we going to give up.
