And unfortunately, Kavanaugh and Barrett seem to express these same concerns during the oral argument a few weeks ago, and yet they joined this opinion today that completely disregarded what this is going to do to Supreme Court authority going forward.

We cannot risk losing the U.S. House. We cannot risk a year in which we do not keep Democrats in power at every level, because if we do, I can assure you that is what is coming.
You know, until a right is taken away, and let's face it, it's the first time in our country's history that something like this has happened, that a constitutional protection was stripped away.
And it's certainly the case that if you extend the reasoning, of this particular opinion, if it becomes the reality that we live with, at the end of June or early July, then we certainly are at risk of losing those rights.
