We do not have that luxury. We have to fight with every tool that we have, from quorum breaks to legislative floor fights to fighting at the courthouse.

I think it is becoming increasingly clear the Republicans want to hijack elections right? We saw it with the big lie and now we`re seeing states moving to change the way you vote in your state.

My response is the governor had 140 days of a regular session to take care of the people’s business. And he failed to do so, that’s the responsibility he’s going to have to bear.

You know what? It`s okay. It is for democracy so it`s worth it.

The only way to solve this problem, senators, the only way to solve this problem is for the United States Senate to pass something like the For the People Act, to back stop voting rights at the federal level.

We are here as free citizens exercising our First Amendment rights to organize.

We have courage, conviction and a little bit of defiance. And we’re here today to rally the nation. And we hope that the U.S. Senate will hear us.

We have to stand up for our democracy.

We want the Senate to hear us and we want them to act, and we need them to pass the For the People Act to preserve democracy in this country.

They are trying to take away our right to vote and we`re not going to put up with it and we`re going to fight.

Not a single member on this bus wants any one in the United States Senate to go home thinking everything is fine with voting rights in America.

Democracy is in jeopardy and we must do whatever we can to save it.
