Our job was to rally the nation and bring people to Washington DC because just by chance, if we came together, we would not only get the Senate to hear us. We will also get them to act.

We do not have that luxury. We have to fight with every tool that we have, from quorum breaks to legislative floor fights to fighting at the courthouse.

We are not going to let a tradition in the U.S. Senate get in the way of our constitutional rights to vote, and we need the Senate to act.

I think it could backfire. And I think that’s why you saw the Republican legislative leader in California say that he’s not a fan of mid-decade redistricting.
